Made from pasteurized cow's milk and coated with fresh truffle, this Brie is luxurious and will shine on your cheese boards.

The addition of fresh truffles makes a pasteurized, traditional Brie even more delicious. This cheese should be the highlight of your aperitif cheese plates.

Deconstructed Brie prepared with unpasteurized cow’s milk and piled with fresh truffles in the core is a great delicacy! Due to the truffle discreetly imparting its scents and taste into the cheese, this delectable cheese is extremely fragrant. The combination of the traditional Brie flavor and the robust truffle scent creates an extraordinary, powerful cheese. The creamy, nutty Brie perfectly complements the earthy truffle.

Brie de Meaux has been made around 50 kilometers east of Paris since 774, when monks from the Priory of Rueil en Brie began production. Over time, it became a favorite of Emperor Charlemagne and other rulers on both sides of the English Channel. But it genuinely acquired popularity at the Congress of Vienna, when the Duke of Tallyrand hosted a brief cheese contest to break up the otherwise solemn proceedings. There, Brie de Meaux was proclaimed the new King of Cheeses.

Storage Instructions

Cheeses (except brined ones in jars) should be stored in the crisper or the butter drawer of a refrigerator, not on the shelves themselves. This is to help regulate their temperature and humidity levels—and prevents the formation of mold. Once opened, they should not be kept in their original packaging. Soft cheeses with delicate rinds need to breathe, so they are best placed in glass containers lined with paper towels to absorb extra moisture. Leave the lid open a tiny bit for air to circulate and don’t forget to write up a label with the date you first opened the package. Kindly pay attention to the best before date label when you receive your cheese. Consume prior to date indicated.
