A beautiful brandy from Normandy in France. This brandy delivers full flavors as well as the notes that are known from the region itself.

Brandy is an interesting alcohol. It is produced initially the same way as wine, but is then distilled further after fermentation to produce and intensely flavored, full bodied spirit that can be enjoyed after a meal or as a late-night beverage. It is said that brandy originated in Spain and was supposedly produced around the 15th or 16th century.

Chateau du Breuil Fine Calvados is an apple brandy produced in the Calvados region of Normandy in France. Caen is the main town in this region. Nestled against the Normandy coast, this beautiful brandy imbibes rich flavors of fruit in the region, the intense flavors of the soil, and the beautiful, refreshing notes of the coast. Chateau du Breuil uses Calvados that are aged between 20 and 25 years. Upon pouring, one will notice the rich, deep amber color - almost like liquid bronze. The flavor is rich, deep, and intense.

This particular Calvados is enjoyed as an after dinner drink, or on its lonesome late at night while reading a good book in a cozy room. It is warming and intense and best enjoyed on cooler evenings.
