Sileni Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough

The Sileni Estates Cellar Selection Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious, multi-award winner that represents the perfect Sauvignon Blanc. Created by the world renowned Sileni Estates, this wine does justice to the meaning behind the winery’s name. Companions of the wine-god, Dionysius, the SIleni were always at hand to encourage enjoyment of good food and wine.

The wine itself was created from pure Sauvignon Blanc - the grape that really put New Zealand wines on the map. Known for its cooler climate (even during the summer months where cold antarctic air moves north through the islands of New Zealand), this climate creates the perfect growing conditions for Sauvignon Blanc, on top of its incredibly fertile lands.

The wine is acidic, dry, and bold in its palate and bouquet. It is extremely refreshing and is reminiscent of light, spring afternoons. To the eye: A beautiful straw yellow is first observed with slight green hues shining through in the right light. On the nose: A noticeable bouquet of tropical fruits with hints of passionfruit is first observed. Slight thoughts of tart berries, such as gooseberry can also be detected. On the palate: Strong citrus and fruity notes are observed with very little sweetness. The wine is delicate and promotes a long finish.

Storage Instructions

Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
